When guests are being welcomed to the OpenDay 2023 in Bad Wörishofen on Thursday, May 25, at 10 a.m., it will be another milestone in the dynamic history of MicroStep Europa GmbH. Just one year after the inauguration of the CompetenceCenter North in Dorsten (North-Rhine Westphalia), the company is topping it off right next to its headquarters in Bavaria. The new building offers 3,700 m² of space for training, demonstration and storage purposes. MicroStep Europa invested more than 5 million euros in the technology and logistics center, including the Industry 4.0 DemoFab.
Now it's time for fine-tuning: About a year ago, the excavators started rolling, and now the MicroStep CompetenceCenter South construction project is in its final stages. The employees will move into their offices by the end of March, and the first presentations will be possible in the course of April. The outdoor facilities are being completed in parallel. Everything is set for the OpenDay Bad Wörishofen, when the new technology and logistics center will be inaugurated on Thursday, May 25, with many technical presentations, machine shows and a large supporting program (information and possibility to register at microstep.com/openDay). "We will show live within one building the possibilities offered by different cutting solutions with plasma, laser, oxyfuel and waterjet technology – in 2D and 3D. In addition, we will also present the many advantages of our new bending systems at MicroStep Europa. In this combination, we have created an incomparable center for cutting, automation, bending, deburring and more," emphasizes Johannes Ried, managing director of MicroStep Europa GmbH.
A good reason to celebrate: investment of around 5 million euros spread over 3,700 m².
After the inauguration of the CompetenceCenter North in May 2022, the OpenDay in Bad Wörishofen will follow one year later. On May 25, 2023, the new CompetenceCenter South will be inaugurated with a varied program.
The OpenDay in May will celebrate the official opening of the technology and logistics center, including the Industrie 4.0 DemoFab, with customers, partners and the public. Within a step of the company headquarters in Bad Wörishofen, Bavaria, which was inaugurated in 2015, MicroStep Europa GmbH invested around 5 million euros in a 3,700 m² area. Attractive offices have been created on 800 m², the logistics center has 1,500 m² of storage space and has been equipped with state-of-the-art systems. In the showroom with its 1,350 m², innovative CNC cutting systems and automation solutions are available for training and demonstration purposes – in addition, examples and advantages of a networked production landscape can be experienced here in the Industry 4.0 DemoFactory. "We are eager to equip customers for tomorrow's requirements with our innovative systems and to help them position themselves even more productively and efficiently. Here, within a few meters, we can now present our versatile products as well as their extraordinary strengths. With this, we have also realized an infrastructure that offers the framework conditions for providing MicroStep's accustomed top service in all areas on a permanent basis despite immense growth," Johannes Ried is pleased to say.
With the finalization of the CompetenceCenter South, MicroStep Europa completes its offer for training, demonstration and storage purposes. In the CompetenceCenter North in Dorsten (North Rhine-Westphalia ), plasma, laser, oxyfuel and waterjet cutting systems for 2D and 3D processing of sheet metal, pipes, profiles and domes can be experienced live as well. And the Bad Wörishofen site also features technologies for bending and deburring.
Johannes Ried and Igor Mikulina, managing partners of MicroStep Europa, are looking forward to May 25: "We are eagerly awaiting the inauguration. Together, we want to celebrate this milestone in our company history accordingly and extensively. We cordially invite friends, partners and technology enthusiasts to this event."
