The CompetenceCenter North has barely been put into operation and the next construction project is already underway. With the start of construction of the new CompetenceCenter South in 2022, MicroStep Europa GmbH is continuing its growth course and investing directly at the company headquarters in Bad Wörishofen, Bavaria. This year, a training and demonstration center including an Industry 4.0 demo factory for networked manufacturing solutions will be built.
In November 2021, MicroStep Europa moved into the CompetenceCenter North training and demonstration center at its established location in Dorsten (NRW). Now the construction project for the counterpart in Bavaria is also starting. With the participation of regional companies, the MicroStep CompetenceCenter South will be built in the coming months just a few meters from the company headquarters. "We are pleased that we can now realize this next milestone. Bad Wörishofen has proven itself extremely well as a location for more than two decades and offers an ideal contact point for the large and small sheet metal and metal processing companies from the south of Germany, Austria and Switzerland," explains Igor Mikulina, founder and managing director of MicroStep Europa GmbH.
400 truckloads of gravel set the stage
for a unique project
Construction 2022 has now been launched with the demonstrative rolling out of the excavators and caterpillars. By the end of the year, a training and demonstration center for state-of-the-art CNC cutting systems and automation solutions including an Industry 4.0 demo factory will be created for live examples and benefits of a networked production landscape. After completion of the construction work, the nearly 100 employees will have optimal conditions for training, demonstration, logistics and storage purposes on around 3,700 square meters. MicroStep Europa is investing around 3.5 million euros in the premises at the company headquarters.
Infrastructure for top service that customers and partners
are used to from MicroStep
"With this, only seven years after the new construction of the company headquarters, we are once again investing significantly in our infrastructure and our future. We are keen on equipping customers for tomorrow's requirements with our innovative systems and to help them become even more productive and efficient," emphasizes Johannes Ried, managing director of MicroStep Europa.
"Here we now have the opportunity to present our versatile products as well as their unique strengths in one place and create an infrastructure that offers the framework conditions to permanently provide MicroStep's familiar top service in all areas despite immense growth."
